Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Training

  • 626 Northeast Main Street Simpsonville, SC, 29681 United States (map)

Did you know:
* All 124 state house representatives will face a Democratic challenger in November
* “Deep red districts” have swung to the left by double digits. A majority of those swings have also resulted in flipped seats.
* South Carolina has a high number of eligible voters who stay at home.

We’ve seen what happens when folks just “sit it out.” We are all living through the consequences of low voter turnout at every level of our government.

A lot of folks are frustrated with where things are headed. This training is about turning that frustration into something that actually moves the needle. Whether you’re brand new to civic engagement or already involved, you’ll walk away with the tools, confidence, and support to make a real impact.

We will provide you with an overview of the GCDP Neighborhood Outreach Volunteer Advocate program, our 2026 GOTV strategy, and how you can help. Together, we’ll dive into practical, people-first strategies for reaching voters, having real conversations, and breaking down barriers to participation.

This isn’t just a training—it’s a moment to step forward. To stand up for a democracy that works for everyone. To be part of a movement that’s rooted in hope, fueled by action, and driven by people like you.

Let’s do that work together—with energy, with purpose, and with the kind of courage that moves communities forward.

**NOTE** While we will discuss some specifics to Greenville County, this training is open to Democrats and progressives across the Upstate.
